There are strong indications that the state government is keeping faith with its promise of ensuring harmonious co-existence among diverse groups across the state.
To this end the burnt mosque at Bida Road, Onitsha is now receiving serious attention, courtesy of the state government.
Blessing Ijedibia reports that greater percentage of the reconstruction work has been carried out at the mosque at Bida Road, Onitsha which was burnt down last year during demonstrations by the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB).
When our reporter arrived at the mosque, it was observed that the building has been re-roofed while other fittings have also been put in place.
Commenting on the development, the leader of the Hausa Community in Onitsha, Alhaji Chief Iliyasu Yushua, while expressing gratitude to Governor Obiano for living up to his promise, described Anambra as a peaceful State, while the State Government is carrying everybody along in the scheme of things.
