An APC Primaries conducted for the emergence of a candidate in the upcoming Anambra Central Senatorial election has seen Senator Uche Ekwunife leading with a wide margin.
Out of the seven LGAs that make up Anambra Central, four were accredited today with their franchise exercised.
The election which commenced at about 7pm at Olivia Montage (Former Tourist Gardens Hotel) was inconclusive as the exercise proceeded into the night.
The four Local Governments that exercised their franchise today include; Anaocha, Njikoka, Dunukofia, Awka South.
The result which was declared by the Secretary of the electoral committee, Mr. Matthew Megara is as follows:
Senator Uche Ekwunife.... 284 votes
Mrs. Sharon Ikeazor.......... 35 votes
INVALID Votes.....................16 votes.
Tomorrow, Idemili North, Idemili South and Awka North will cast their votes to conclude the process after which the final result will be declared.
