President Buhari has appointed wife of former Chief Justice of Nigeria Muhammadu Uwais, Maryam Uwais, as his Special Adviser for Social Protection Plan. Her office, which is within the office of the Vice President, Yemi Osibajo, is responsible for the coordination of the social protection schemes. Uwais, who is a trained lawyer will also manage the N60billion micro-credit scheme for artisans and market women.
