The new executive of Umueri General Assembly has pledged to maintain lasting peace and security in the community in their three year tenure.
The new President-General, Chief Pius Okonkwo, made the promise during a post election briefing by the new executive at the Umueri Sport Club.
The new executive also pledged their loyalty to the service of humanity and development of the community.
The Umueri President-General promised that the executive will carry everybody along in the course of their duties, urging them to give the new executives the needed support for the development of Umueri.
The Umueri General Assembly had on the 29th of December, held a successful election that produced Chief Okonkwo as President-General and Oranyelu Mbuesi, Secretary, among other executives.
In the same vein, the Ifite Umueri Consultative Assembly had also elected Mr. Edozie Chiezie as their new chairman, while Mr. Chibueze Akwueze emerged acting Secretary.
The new chairman, Mr. Chiezie, pledged to do everything within his ability to maintain lasting peace in Ifite Umueri and carry every quarter along.
