President Muhammadu Buhari will depart Abuja in the morning of Monday, September 7, for a one-day official visit to Ghana's capital city, Accra.
The presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, said the Nigerian delegation includes the National Security Adviser Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd.), the permanent secretaries in the federal ministries of foreign affairs, defence, justice, industry, trade and investment, among others.
"During the visit, President Buhari will confer with his Ghanaian counterpart, President John Dramani Mahama, on bilateral relations, regional security, trade and other issues of common interest to Nigeria, Ghana and other members of the Economic Community of West African States," the statement by the presidency read in part.
On the same day, President Buhari is also expected to meet with members of the Nigerian community in Ghana and entrepreneurs.
President Buhari's first 100 days in the office were celebrated on September 5. The leader of the nation did not make any separate statement in this regard, probably because he tagged it as a 'fraud' even before being elected.
He spent the end of the week travelling inside Nigeria, visited Kaduna and his home state, Katsina.
