Parents charged to look into ward`s performance as they resume new session

Chinedu Ezenwa, who went round some schools, reports that at Community Secondary, School Okpuno and Girls' School Secondary Awka, most of the students and teachers had resumed.
Speaking to the ABS, the Principal of Community Secondary School, Okpuno, Lady Ifeoma Ikeotuonye said that new students were being enrolled, while the returning ones were being received in their new classes, adding that they were poised for serious academic work.
She advised the students to be punctual to school and appealed to parents to take good care of their children as well as to monitor their academic performance.
At Holy Child Convent, Amichi academic activities had commenced in earnest, as students were seen in their classes receiving lessons, while non-tutorial staff were at their duty posts.
Speaking to the ABS, the Principle of the school, Lady Ijeoma Ndeeche, expressed satisfaction with the turnout of both the students and teachers, noting that virtually all the students were present, except few with genuine excuses.
Lady Ijeoma stated that a total number of six hundred and forty students have returned for the 2015/2016 academic session.
