Traditional rulers and Presidents-General of all the communities in the state have been asked to join in the fight to rid the state of social-misfits causing untold hardship to the citizenry.
The Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources, Mr. Obi Nwankwo, made the appeal during an inspection tour of power transmission sub-stations in the state.
The Commissioner also warned individuals who have formed the habit of vandalizing electrical installations in the state to desist from the act of risk prosecution.
Commissioner Nwankwo regretted that despite the state government's efforts in providing steady power supply to enhance economic activities and provide a conducive atmosphere for the Ndi-Anambra, some unpatriotic individuals have continued to vandalize the electrical facilities installed in their different domains.
The Commissioner also enjoined the contractor handling the National Integrated Power Project, NIPR in the state to expedite action or risk termination of the contract.
