There was pandemonium in the early hours of friday 9th sept. around 6am when a man identified as Mr. Raphael Ubanozie 'Akawo' from Umuadobihi, Eziani, Ihiala was brutally murdered on his way to morning mass by a suspected mad man.
According to an eye witness, a man suspected to be mad man double crossed Mr Akawo and started hitting him hard on the head with a very big rod which left him in the pull of his own blood. Before passers by could come to Mr. Akawo's rescue, he was already dead. This incident got the people of the area infuriated, they attacked the mad man, before the police could come, the mad man has already been killed.
The two dead bodies were lying helplessly on the road when the police arrived the scene. The police took some necessary informations and took the dead bodies to the mortuary.
Another eye witness told Ndi Anambra that the mad man in question who killed Mr Akawo does not look like a mad man, reason being that he looks too clean to be a mad man.
We are still waiting to hear the outcome of the investigation.
