Disabled man takes care of paralyzed wife for a decade

A 72-year-old disabled man from Zhejiang has touched many hearts in China, owing to his persistent love and care for his paralyzed wife for the past eleven years.

Although Sheng Bingzhi lost his right leg in a workplace accident when he was just 17, he still won Xu Biqiu's heart 10 years later, and the two eventually wed each other.

However, after 30 years of having led a happy married life, a car accident once again put the family in a difficult situation. Xu was paralyzed in the accident, and has been unable to feel or move her legs since then.

Sheng, nevertheless, did not let the tragedy lead the family into despair. For the past 11 years, since the crash, he has devoted all his attention to taking care of his wife, just as she had cared for him earlier.

Their story has moved many Chinese netizens, with some even calling for the government to offer them more aid.
