A man, Charles Oyibo, is currently on the run in
Enugu after beating his wife, Angela, to death.
It was learnt that the beating took place on September 30, at Aku, in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
It was also gathered that on the fateful day, Charles pummeled his wife, Angela, over a yet to be ascertained matter, leaving her unconscious.
The woman was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, but she was not able to regain full consciousness, until she died on October 22.
Our correspondent gathered that the husband, Charles, ran away immediately his wife, Angela, was confirmed dead.
The spokesman for the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development, said preliminary investigations revealed that the husband, Charles, was in the habit of beating his wife.
Amaraizu said the police had started hunting for Charles.
He said the man would be brought to book.
