According to the President-General, Abagana Committee of Friends, Mr. Tom Okoye, the annual award ceremony was set up in 1998 as part of efforts to encourage healthy academic competition and discourage exam malpractices and other vices such as robbery, truancy, among students.
The Chairman of the occasion, Chief (Dr) J.C.
