Bulgarian tactician, Mitko Dobrev has returned to FC IfeanyiUbah for a second stint after he was unveiled on Monday evening.
Dobrev who was relieved of his appointment under cloudy circumstances last season was recalled to help the team achieve their aspiration of winning the Nigeria topflight diadem.
Meeting with the team at their camp in Ibadan, Mitko expressed his joy at returning to the Nnewi side and he believes they are capable of making a statement in the Nigerian elite division.
Speaking to media, Mitko said he was back to the club in better shape and highly motivated to give the Premier League side their first league title on second attempt.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, president of the club, Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah the Bulgarian had been the first choice from the moment the project kicked off and had to wait for Mitko to go and better equip himself so as to enable him meet the mission and vision of the club.
"Mitko and his team of coaches which includes the Brazilian coaches will bring professionalism, tactical discipline and impartiality in team selection," Ubah said.
"It was time we opened our league to other countries, within and outside Africa. These players will not only improve the quality of our play, they will also increase our market value and gate taking significantly as fans will troop the stadium whenever and wherever FC Ifeanyi Ubah play."
Ifeanyi Ubah FC begin their 2016 campaign against Giwa FC in Jos.
