This father believed snakebite could cure his daughter

When all medicines failed to treat Wang Jingshuai's daughter, he tried something unusual – a cobra.

The father from Wuqiang county, Hebei Province, was misguided into using the cobra to treat his eight-year-old daughter for anemia, a blood disorder, after he spent his entire savings to pay for the medical expenses. Wang's friends had then convinced that the snakebite would cure his daughter; they told him that it was a traditional way of healing diseases by "fighting poison with poison."

After the snakebite, Wang rushed her daughter to hospital where doctors treated her for poisoning. He said she's in a stable condition now.

Talking to Imagine Chinse newmen, Wang said he regretted his actions but he wanted to give it a chance hoping it could miraculously cure his daughter's disease.
