The member representing Ekwusigo Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Mr Onyebuchi Offor has appealed to Governor Willie Obiano to intervene in the disturbing menace of drug traffickers operating in Oraifite and Ozubulu communities.
In a statement condemning the activities of the illicit drugs peddlers dislodged from Obosi by the State Government, Mr Offor appealed to Governor Obiano to apply the method he used in Obosi to deal with the situation in his constituency.
The lawmaker said the activities of the miscreants are disturbing his constituents and if not checked is capable of producing more mad people in the area.
On his part, his Idemili South counterpart, Mr Chuka Ezenwunne described local drugs trafficking as a serious offence and urged the national drugs law enforcement Agency and the police to step up efforts towards combing the suspected hideouts of the miscreants.
Mr Ezenwunne advised the citizenry to alert the law enforcement agencies on any suspicious movements in their localities.
